RESOLUTIONS
During the Model UN Conference delegates make Resolutions together as countries to solve environmental problems like deforestation, agricultural runoff, and access to renewable energy sources. A resolution is a document that contains all the issues that the committee wants to solve and the proposed solutions to that issue. It’s called a resolution because that’s what the United Nations calls the documents they produce. Countries come together to discuss their stances on those issues and if they are willing to be involved in contributing to the efforts of the resolution. After discussing the pros and cons of the resolution and how it could benefit each country the resolution is voted on by all the countries in the committee to see if it is successfully passed. Below are some examples of resolutions created by delegates representing a country and their solutions to environmental problems.
